
Chocolate Sheet Cake
Sheet Cake:
Sift into bowl…2 cups of flour and 2 cups of sugar.
Mix in saucepan…1 stick of margarine, ½ cup Wesson oil, 4 tablespoons cocoa, and 1 cup of water.
Bring to a rapid boil and then pour over dry ingredients.
Stir well, then add ½ cup of buttermilk, 2 eggs (slightly beaten), 1 tablespoon of soda and 1 tablespoon of vanilla.
Mix well and pour into 12X17X1 greased sheetcake pan.
Bake in oven at 400 degrees for 20-minutes.
Topping:
Five minutes before cake is done, melt and bring to boil 1 stick of margarine, 2 tablespoons cocoa and tablespoons of milk.
When the mixture comes to full rolling boil, remove from heat and add 1 box of powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of vanilla and 1 cup of chopped nuts.
Mix well and spread over cake while still hot.
