Randy Travis has reached a plea deal with prosecutors in Plano, Texas on an assault charge stemming from his scrap with his fiancee’s ex-husband last summer.
Officers issued the citation after the altercation at the Prestonwood Baptist Church parking lot last August.
Randy will receive 90 days deferred adjudication, allowing him to plead guilty or no contest in exchange for meeting legal requirements.
Once they’re met, Randy may avoid a formal conviction or have the case dismissed.
Randy still faces a DUI charge from a one-car accident from August.
