Darius Rucker will become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry. During his performance at the Opry Tuesday, Darius got the news from his former tour partner and Opry member Brad Paisley during a question-and-answer session.
At first, two audience members asked Darius questions. Then Brad threw out a two-parter - first asking Darius if he was "still the worst poker player in the world?" That was followed by the Opry question. It took Darius a few minutes to regain his composure before he answered yes to both questions.
Following all the excitement, Darius performed "Wagon Wheel," a track for his forthcoming album, due in early 2013.
The induction will take place October 16th live at 9 p.m. ET on GAC's Noteworthy at the Opry program.
