Keith Urban will be busting out his best threads for the Nashville Symphony’s Symphony Ball. He’s due to receive the Symphony’s Harmony Award at the December 8th gala, which is one of the most exclusive white-tie events in the South.

The honor goes annually to an individual who exemplifies the “harmonious spirit of the Nashville music community.” Previous Harmony Award recipients include Carrie UnderwoodTaylor SwiftRascal FlattsDolly PartonVince Gill and Martina McBride.

Keith said about the country music community, “If something defines ‘country’ still to this day it’s ‘community.’ I think that’s the definition of country. That’s the thing that makes it separate to everything else because musically and stylistically, it ebbs and flows in and out of various things at different times like it always has. But the community aspect is paramount.”
