The country singer is preparing to launch the Salvation Army's campaign and perform during the Cowboys/Redskins Thanksgiving game halftime show

Kenny Chesney returns to Dallas Cowboys Stadium on Thanksgiving Day to help launch the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign. After headlining football stadiums for more than a decade, Kenny says it's surreal to watch games on TV.
“You know, we’re off the road, and so football’s on Thursday nights sometimes now, and all weekend on Saturday, Sunday and Monday night football. It’s so odd to watch a game. They do the overhead stadium shot from the blimp, it’s almost impossible not to sit there and go, ‘OK, our bus was … and this is what happened there.’”
Kenny will perform as part the Salvation Army’s halftime show when the Cowboys host the Washington Redskins on Thursday. Kickoff is 3:15 p.m. CT on FOX.
The No Shoes Nation tour returns to Dallas on May 11th.
